American redstart

The male American Redstart as seen above is mainly black with orange patches on its sides, wings and tail. Usually seen flitting around the trees in search of insects.

Red winged blackbird

This lovely blackbird has a dazzle of colour on the top of its wings or shoulders and is known both as Red winged blackbird or red shouldered blackbird. As you can see from the picture above the colour is more orange and then they have a further stripe of yellow. They are similar to the Tri colour blackbird but they have more of a red patch and a white stripe.

This little finch is a specialist seed eater as you can tell from its beak. With its black head, black and white wings and tail and burnt orange breast and under belly it is a beautiful looking bird.
